FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
From Clanloups.com
The Clan des Loups d'Amerique du Nord [North American Clan of Wolves] is proud to announce its presence on the Web at;
www.clanloups.com
a site with over 40 pages of concise text complemented by many exclusive photos.
Founded in April, 1997, and established as a non-profit association, CLAN is the first and only group dedicated exclusively to protecting wolves in Quebec. In Quebec, ensuring adequate protection of wolves will require a significant increase in fully protected territories, a complete reorganization of trapping activities, and the adoption of policies to promote survival of the species.
The State's continuing inertia regarding this issue forces us to launch an
awareness campaign accompanied by a petition firmly denouncing the
aberrations of the current system.
Time is short, and it is urgent to act. Each year, the province loses 300 to 600 wolves through trapping activities practiced on over 1,400,000 km2 in Quebec.
Participate actively in the success of our "wolf campaign" by distributing our petition widely and expressing your indignation to the government of Quebec. To print the petition and the model letter to send to Quebec's, please go to our site at ACTIONS.
In order to remain completely free and independent,we accept no government aid. Without exception, all our associates are volunteers. For this reason,our activities depend directly on your generosity.
Moving from words to action, challenging public opinion, and convincing politicians require a great deal of time, energy,effort, solidarity,goodwill, and funding. The continued pursuit of this cause will be possible
with the support of people like you.
We are all part of nature. With this privileged connection comes the responsibility of each human toward each living creature.
Benoit Ayotte
Coordinator of CLAN
