When I first got involved with another micronational project, someone kidded me and said that since I loved wolves so much, I should started one and call it "wolf-nation, or "Lupinaria," or something, and the national flower should be wolfsbane, and the national fish the dogfish, and our national charity should be the Lupus Foundation.
I laughed at first, and then I knew: I had to try it, because beig a wolf-lover was more than an obsession for me: I truly believed in the philosophy now on the Lykosha site - "the way of the wolf." I told myself I would try an "experiment," to see if others might walk this way with me, to create something old, yet something new. Something borrowed, and yet not blue That's how Lykosha was born.
I determined that ten citizens besides me should be a fair amount to hold an election for a leader, and told myself that I would only stand as the nation's guardian, to see to it that the philosophy of the wolfpack would never be compromised. I also said that if we didn't have these 10 within five years, we never would. I told myself the plan would fail: that no one but me walked, or could walk, this "way of the wolf." People had become too decadent, too apathetic, and had lost feelings of pride, community or honour.
I was wrong, though. First one, then another, and another citizen joined our ranks. Here, one month before our second year anniversary, we have received an application from citizen #9, in Germany.
Why mention this? Because in the scheme of micronational affairs, nine citizens for a project as unique and specific as Lykosha is momentous. In today's society of x-generation, reality-tv watching, self-servers, it is thrilling to be able to tell you this....
....so: who's the brave soul who'd like to make it ten, and start what could be a new era in micronationalism?

Note:
although most of our people are not active, it doesn't matter right now, because we are still growing. I would love more activity, but the principles remain the same. Of course, I would love some kind of advice to encourage activity.....
